TDzilla! - February 10, 2012
March 7 at home.
day_late_friend - February 10, 2012
The Knicks are so much better without Carmelo
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
It seems as though after Malcolm Thomas was waived by the Spurs, he did return from the Toros to the LA D-Fenders. Meanwhile, back with the Toros is Squeaky Johnson, recently waived by the Hornets. In tonight’s game against Rio Grande, the Spurs are leading 60-55 at the start of the 2nd half with 6’9" Leo Lyons leading the way with 22 points and 8 rebounds. D-League All-Star Justin Dentmon has added 11 points and Da’Sean Butler has 10.
Alamo - February 10, 2012
Luke Bonner is a rebounding machine like Matt, so far has 4 rebounds in just over 10 minutes.
Alamo - February 10, 2012
Did Butler made the DLeague allstar?
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
No, he only recently moved into the Toro’s starting lineup. The Toros have been deep. Dentmon and Lance Thomas (who got a call-up from the Hornets) did make the team. I would have thought that Eric Dawson might have, but it seemed when Malcolm Thomas joined the Spurs he decided to join a Turkish League team. Though after having been gone since Jan. 18th, Dawson is back with the Toros for tonight’s game.
Butler has now started 10 out of 18 games, and has been averaging 11.8 points and 6 rebounds in 29 minutes. His shooting touch was off on the majority of his first games, but he’s been shooting much better since being made a starter and his % is now up to .474 with .395 from 3 point range. So far he’s 5-7 tonight with 3-5 from 3 pt range.
Alamo - February 10, 2012
The Toros just added 6’9" Julian Senesly for tonight’s game. He had previously played 5 games this season for Rio Grande, averaging 16.2 points and 7.4 rebounds. So Sensely, Lyons and Dawson are all listed at 6’9" and seem athletic PF types, while Luke Bonner is 7’1". Butler is listed as a 6’7" forward, while the Toros have two others at 6’7" as G/F’s.
Alamo - February 10, 2012
Interesting that Thomas went back to LA…

And the Jeremy Lin is not done yet.
day_late_friend - February 10, 2012
They are going to be very good with Amare, but they should get rid of Carmelo.
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
I wonder if there’ll be a team that will trade for him.
day_late_friend - February 10, 2012
Lakers need an SF hah
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
Gasol for Carmelo
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
Haha. Interesting.
day_late_friend - February 10, 2012
Let’s see, they gave up Wilson Chandler, Mozgov, Gallinari, Felton, 3 draft picks and $3M to get Carmelo. Though besides Carmelo, they received A. Carter, Balkman, S. Williams and Chauncey. I’m sure they all have contributed big time for the Knicks, haven’t they?
Alamo - February 10, 2012
I’m still wondering why NY gave half their team for Melo.
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
Because James Dolan didn’t want to wait, until ’Melo was a free-agent and sign him outright.
transgojobot - February 11, 2012
Because NY is stupid.
grego21 - February 11, 2012
They wanted to give their whole team for LeBron, but Bron brought his talents to Miami instead.
Kondor - February 12, 2012
Wilson Chandler could still return to Denver after the China league finishes, as it seems he was a restricted free agent that Denver still has the rights to (wouldn’t mind if he became a Spur). Denver traded Felton to Portland and got Andre Miller (and indirectly Rudy Fernandez) along with Jordan Hamilton. Chauncey was waived by NY, Shelden left for NJ as a free agent, Carter to Toronto as a free agent; but at least NY had Balkman along with Carmelo.
Alamo - February 10, 2012
Checking a report and Chandler is expected to rejoin the Nuggets after the China commitment ends by mid-March.
Alamo - February 10, 2012
Hah, that was amazing
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
Beat LA
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
Bynum’d!
Ayatollah - February 10, 2012
Bynum is a big man
TDzilla! - February 10, 2012
I have a feeling once Melo comes back the Knicks will start losing again.
Kevin21 - February 10, 2012
Probably, Melo is a ball stopper, he does not fit with D’antoni’s offense. But the pick and roll of Amare and Lin will be very good
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
MVP chants for Lin, LOL!
TDzilla! - February 10, 2012
Come on, Knicks, finish ’em!
day_late_friend - February 10, 2012

Lin is the Chinese megastar.
TDzilla! - February 10, 2012
Good evening friends! Thanks for making this thread. Lin… win!
Ed (dfjmed) - February 10, 2012
Well, I hope D-Rose is happy with his All-Star selections. Linsanity’s going to be voted into the starting lineup for a long, long time.
DrumsInTheDeep - February 10, 2012
Oh yeah
spursfan87 - February 10, 2012
Lin will be All-star next year. China is going to vote him in.
Heman - February 10, 2012
You’re probably right. It worked for Yao
…and TMac.
Ed (dfjmed) - February 10, 2012
Holy shit, Lin… He’s for real?
LatinD - February 10, 2012
The kid can definitely ball. Making every GM that didn’t give him a shot look extremely stupid right now. Hope he keeps it up! He’s as humble as they come :D
Trey Felder - February 11, 2012
Golden State, Houston and Dallas. Ouchy…
grego21 - February 11, 2012
Man, just imagine if he was backing up J. Kidd or Kevin Martin—wow, kinda glad he plays in the east haha.
Trey Felder - February 11, 2012
Golden State really could use him too, since they start two 2 guards. Dallas, especially.

“YO LA,I Betcha Kobe Knows Who Jeremy Lin is NOW. JLin Sliced And Diced Ya ASS FOR 38. Jeremy “Stop Asian Profi-” Lin.And Dat’s Da Truth,Ruth"
Oh well, I knew the LAL awesome 1-game win streak had to end sometime.
lazNirv - February 11, 2012
Those 1-game win streaks are hard to maintain.
grego21 - February 11, 2012
Hey if winning two games in a row on the road were that easy even the Lakers could do it.
Kondor - February 12, 2012
ZING!
spursfan87 - February 12, 2012
“Hey if winning two games in a row on the road . . .”
Sad but true. The NBA won’t allow us to win too many for basketball reasons. And unfortunately the Lakers won’t make any more moves until they know for sure that they won’t get Dwight. (Unless they could somehow pry someone like D-Will out of Jersey or someone else of that caliber.)
But hey we did beat the Celtics, in overtime, in Boston. That as good as 3 other wins to most Laker fans. And ironically, if the season ended today it looks like the Lakers would meet them Spurs in a 3 vs 6 match-up. Hopefully by the end of the season we can be as good as last season’s Grizzlies. :)
Anyway, much as I enjoy slagging on the Spurs, I’ll bow out now. Got too much work/chores to get done.
