Apparently, the Grizzlies beating the Spurs last season in the playoffs have turned the Grizzlies, in their mind, into perennial contenders with a rich history of winning.
I remember how everyone talked about how funny he was as a player, and how great he would be as an announcer, then they put him on TNT and… not so much. I still love him and his Memorial Day Miracle and his championship winning assist to Avery and his three kidneys. He can make as many terrible jokes as he likes.
I know I haven’t been around much, but what is it with this crush you guys have with Anderson? He hasn’t looked remotely competent this year. If dominating the preseason were enough we’d still have Ian.
He hit some shots, but otherwise looked like a spaz with the ball. I think RJ, Leonard, Green, and Neal are all clearly better than him right now at the same wing spots.
He has played well in limited minutes. His production and potential have no relation with his minutes. It’s just yet another weird permanent doghouse case.
It’s certainly tough to come up for minutes for all of them. I’m one that thinks that Anderson has looked pretty good in all his games, and just missed on a number of shots early in the season that easily could have fallen. Neal’s been scoring more, but due to shooting a lot more. Other than last night’s game, Green and Neal have both been in a bit of a shooting slump themselves lately. Seems like Neal is down compared to last year as far as contributing in other areas like rebounding, and his shooting %’s are down as well. I expect he maybe rushed back from his operation a bit too soon.
