anirontag - January 25, 2012
good win for the Spurs! Our bigs with a good scoring game: Blair and Bonner with 17. Splitter with 16… Duncan played well too, in the short minutes he had, 11 boards.
anirontag - January 25, 2012
won by 22 points with no player score 20 points. Total team effort

SanAntonioGiant - January 25, 2012

hurts2bgood - January 25, 2012
weird thing about ring ceremony games: the receipient of those Championship rings often loses the game.
4TimeChamps...and counting? - January 25, 2012
Those were some nice rings!
SanAntonioGiant - January 25, 2012
I’d gladly take a single loss to win a ’chip…
In the 666 - January 25, 2012
Except for the Spurs. Haha. I remember in 2005 and 2007 after we won those two ’ships, Spurs won their openers.
Marky G - January 25, 2012
That makes this even sweeter.
MiniMegaMoose - January 25, 2012 via mobile
Does Love have a ton of points and rebounds?
Hipuks - January 25, 2012
Only 10 boards.
Edg5 - January 25, 2012
Dallas is going to lose to Minny at home. The Rockets lost and the Grizz lost last night.
Edg5 - January 25, 2012
good news for the Spurs then, going up in the standings after this one..

Who the hell is that guy?? and why his name is so original
cuentaluis1 - January 25, 2012
Lakers rookie. I read that name as Goldilocks every time.
SpursColoredGlasses - January 25, 2012
It’s just a riff on Goldilocks!
MiniMegaMoose - January 25, 2012 via mobile
The Pacers won in Chicago.
4Him - January 25, 2012
Spurs vs Pacers in the finals!!!
The NBA and ESPN dream matchup
spursfan87 - January 25, 2012
More like ABA dream matchup.
4Him - January 25, 2012
Would LOVE Spurs-Pacers in the Finals. Actually thought we might get that in ’99

I’m very happy with how the minutes were so spread out tonight. Almost everyone played 30 or less
MiniMegaMoose - January 25, 2012 via mobile
So sad that the Mavs got smoked in their opening game and on their ring night.
4Him - January 25, 2012
I shed no tears for the philistines to the north lol.
Trey Felder - January 25, 2012

spursfan87 - January 25, 2012

In the 666 - January 25, 2012
So strange to see “World Peace” on the back of #15 on the Lakers.
4Him - January 25, 2012
Oh yeah, that guy? Number 15? Fuck him.
Trey Felder - January 25, 2012
Manu sits until playoffs?
With the way the team is stepping up and playing do we really need to bring him back until maybe the last few games before the playoffs to help him get any rhthym. The team is finally gelling and that way Manu can be healthy for playoffs.I would hate to tear up the chemistry the team has been gaining just to bring Manu back. I just don’t see any reason to bring him back so soon when we don’t need him now.
GoSpurs09 - January 25, 2012
cuz he’s Manu. cuz he’s really really dynamic. cuz i want him back.
cojones2thewall - January 25, 2012
The Spurs will need time to re-develop the chemistry with Manu. After all, he is the straw that stirs the drink.
4Him - January 25, 2012
Manu is the ultimate team player. He’ll sit until healthy, but once healthy, he will play. This is a young team. We are ‘really gelling’ every time there’s a home game; away, we struggle. Manu’s leadership is needed, greatly.
Fred Silva - January 25, 2012
What is this usage of the subject line?
trifling mattersserious business aside, I want Manu to get as much burn as he can before the playoffs, not only to get him into a better rhythm, but also to get the newer guys in the rotation accustomed to the greatness that is, El Contusion (if in fact that is even possible lol).Trey Felder - January 25, 2012
& manu knows how to tangle. if you missed DewNO’s writings or need more info on the matter go to GothicGinobili.com , cuz it’s beast!
cojones2thewall - January 25, 2012
its not about manu but still his name as the site title says enough
cojones2thewall - January 25, 2012
I think that the guy that need that more … is timmy (but we only have 4 bigs so … its difficult)
cuentaluis1 - January 25, 2012
the way our team is playing is if we want to get into the playoffs with maybe a first/second round exit. manu coming back makes the whole second unit a lot more dangerous
forrestgump52 - January 26, 2012
i was off on the win by & i missed the whole thing. whens a replay?
cojones2thewall - January 25, 2012
Utah loses to Toronto. Everything is coming up Milhouse!
Edg5 - January 25, 2012
Does that mean we’re millhouse too?

Marky G - January 25, 2012
If only the NOOCH had beaten OKC, it would’ve been a perfect night for the Spurs.
Edg5 - January 25, 2012
OKC is for real. Everything would be perfect if they had not lost maynor
grego21 - January 25, 2012
Fortunately for us, no one team is perfect.
silverandblack_davis - January 26, 2012
Lakers-Clipps going down the stretch.

grego21 - January 26, 2012
Blake is a terrible passer
cuentaluis1 - January 26, 2012
Gasol > Blake?
silverandblack_davis - January 26, 2012
Absolutely.
Edg5 - January 26, 2012
At this point in their careers, yes..
Although Gasol is on the end of his prime, while Blake is still learning..
grego21 - January 26, 2012
So when does the game start?
LatinD - January 26, 2012
Good thing they are replaying it right now.

Chilai - January 26, 2012
That's what you think
silverandblack_davis - January 26, 2012
Haa haa. I loved this. What your two hands can’t give you, no one can.
cojones2thewall - January 26, 2012
We should trade Duncan for draft picks so Tiago can play more minutes.
Chilai - January 26, 2012
Go to bed. Where the hell are you , anyway?
alamobro - January 26, 2012
not in bed
Chilai - January 26, 2012
Dude..you have drank enough for today…go home
Heman - January 26, 2012
You’re sauced.
cojones2thewall - January 26, 2012
Ban Hammer!
In Soviet Russia, Tim Duncan trades YOU!!!
Though. I do agree that Tiago needs more minutes. It should come out of Blairs time more than anyone.
Spurs Yoda - January 26, 2012
Nice win tonight, GSG!
Kondor - January 26, 2012
The Win is always good, but
after seeing the likes of matt bonner, and the rest of our bench winning games for the regular season and not coming thru in the playoffs (not that I blame them, the playoffs need to be won by the main players, with the HELP of the bench) these wins feel a little hollow.
however, tiago is starting to prove hes a legitimate option and when manu comes back to run more with the second unit as a backup pg, im sensing that lineup can do some legit damage.
