spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
Spurs 10-7, Lakers 10-7, Celtics 5-9. Times are changing =/
Kevin21 - January 21, 2012
True
Ayatollah - January 21, 2012
2-0 in most game thread comments! I AM A MAGNIFICENT WANKER!
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
this is disturbing i think
Josh Guyer (completely deck) - January 21, 2012
Didn’t we lose both of those games?
DrumsInTheDeep - January 21, 2012
we were great in whatever other one I was in
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
My thoughts exactly
hurts2bgood - January 21, 2012
no we definitely won whatever other game I was in. It was whatever game Green, Leonard, and Splitter were all eerily awesome
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
I require proof.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
look back to the Portland thread, my drunken Sunkist state makes me incapable of doing this
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Can’t believe that you don’t give yourself a commemorative plaque for every gamethread comment battle you win!
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
did you not see my picture? I do an “I WIN” picture each time
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
I’m not disagreeing, I’m just saying that I considered you guilty before seeing any evidence.
Kaizer has most comments = Spurs lose. Until proven otherwise.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
you’re not doing your proper investigation prosecutor, I hire Josh Guyer as my lawyer!
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
You’re NOT getting a court appointed atty.
It’s not happening.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
then I choose:
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
I just noticed your new sig. Very funny.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
haha I had to after that
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
And that happened the night of the Portland game, in the QuickCap.
And you DID have the most comments that night, which was a win.
So you’re exonerated!
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
T. Splitter(notes) 31:33 11-13 0-0 3-5 +9 2 10 4 2 1 0 1 3 25
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
only 13 shots for Tiago
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
That’s effectiveness.
RobertoDR - January 21, 2012
i’m beginning to rethink my half time comment – he should simply start. fuck bonner, fuck blair.
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
I’m telling you he is the best Spur’s big
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
i wouldn’t go that far – i think duncan can still turn out sublime performances. but timmeh can also have bad nights, and on those nights splitter should see more burn.
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
He should see more minutes either way, reducing Blair’s and Bonner’s.
RobertoDR - January 21, 2012
I’ll agree with that.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
yep, most definitely.
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
That is going to happen.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I agree
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Splitter with Bonner is the best 2 man big unit they have if Duncan isn’t playing.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Holy crap , he had his best game ever. Too bad we got flummoxed by the hated rockets, yet again.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
Now I’m worried about the Rodeo Trip.
RobertoDR - January 21, 2012
Manu should be back right?
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
That’s the problem, I think he won’t.
RobertoDR - January 21, 2012
TJ back sooner, right?
grego21 - January 21, 2012
hoping at least one of them returns in predicted time because really hurting on the backup PG duties.
i luv this site - January 22, 2012
You don’t think he’ll be back for the RRT, or won’t be back at all?
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
For the RRT.
RobertoDR - January 21, 2012
Hmmm. Possibly not.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
please, don’t even joke of such things
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
I don’t care when he comes back, as long as he returns to form before the end of the season, and we make the postseason.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
I mean don’t even mention him not returning at all. On such a day we’ll cry out, “save us”, and he’ll whisper, “no.”
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Don’t you remember that Tony’s Rorschach?
The story, and the quote.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012

now THIS is a brilliant idea.

KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
alarmingly so!
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
After beating us, Grizz moped the floor with the Kings.
RobertoDR - January 21, 2012
ergo, we’ll lose by 40 to the grizz. or win by 40. its that sort of season.
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
we will neither win nor lose by 40 in this season. this is my prediction. we may win or lose by 4.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
Later, guys. Karl Pilkington is calling.
DrumsInTheDeep - January 21, 2012
So, what did I miss?
SinCitySpur - January 21, 2012

hurts2bgood - January 21, 2012
I expect even the younger guys are getting tired legs with so many games crowded in and with no rest the defense drops and their shot don’t. I’d think it would really help to be using Anderson and even Malcolm some.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
surely pop can see this. if guys are getting tired, play deeper into the bench. anderson isn’t going to get back on track without court time.
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
Pop sees how good Tiago is and his decision is to play him less. SMH.
silverandblack_davis - January 21, 2012
UI was hoping that with Blair’s foul trouble we might see malcolm, but we did not. Anderson should get time, but who knows.

KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Spurs and Lakers are 10-7, both teams are 1-6 on the road and 9-1 at home. Pretty weird.Difference is we are missing our best player.
mission20 - January 21, 2012
And a very important backup.
RobertoDR - January 21, 2012
they’re missing Chris Paul for “basketball reasons”
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
David Stern has made it clear we are not allowed to have a point guard.

at least headcase Odom is gone
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Wasnt he kind of instrumental to those two titles?
alamobro - January 21, 2012
post-Kardashian he is meh to me
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
He wouldn’t be a headcase if it weren’t for the broken trade.
lazNirv - January 21, 2012
Tiago and Duncan need to play together, they need to learn to play together.
The same way Duncan and Robinson learned to play together.
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
but then we have Blair and Bonner
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
This.
RobertoDR - January 21, 2012
Should maybe give a try to Bonner with Malcolm Thomas.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
Blair with anyone but Bonner.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
with as bad as Blair is, I wouldn’t mind it. I really dislike him
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Prizbilla still available i think
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
smart free agent acquisition? GTFO!
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Exactly! I cant handle Blair anymore. Im sorry but the guy hogs the ball on offense. And dont even get me started on his defense..
mission20 - January 21, 2012
Er, yea, but that was apples to oranges. Duncan was 10 years younger, and Drob had an outside jumper. Not to mention he was also Drob.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
Duncan outside jumper is looking pretty good this year
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
Yea, but that would mean Splitter would have to emulate Duncan in this twin tower recreation.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
They have Blair playing along side Duncan right now.
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
exactly. I hate when people try and say Tiago and Timmy can’t play together because they are similar offensively when Blair and Timmy start together. It’s clear as day Timmy and Tiago need more playing time together on the court and we need another big guy like many of us have been saying before the season started
gunnin' gervin - January 21, 2012
But I don’t think they should start. Closing the game is one thing, but seeing very little of Bonner/Blair is vital.
grego21 - January 22, 2012
I’d rather have Tiago abuse the second unit. Only want them to play together at the close, though.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I agree, just that he needs to play more minutes. Have them and Duncan overlap at times.
silverandblack_davis - January 21, 2012
yup, they need to learn to play together because if they doesnt then you are cutting Tiago’s minutes
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
Even if the team is behind by 10 or so by the time he comes in?
Alamo - January 21, 2012
Well, Spurs without a PG, need someone to run the offense. With just parker, you don’t have much else. With Splitts in the 2nd unit, you can use him as the go to guy in that unit.
Spurs need to balance out their strength. Obviously, if Blair is in foul trouble..
grego21 - January 21, 2012
it’s not a matter of if he’s in foul trouble, but when
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
True, good point.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I’d think a more experienced pg from the dleague like Dentmon or Ahearn might get you by till Ford is back, similar to when they brought up Temple. Antonio Daniels is back playing in the dleague again, seems like he wouldn’t be a bad fill-in.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
oh, yeah, what have happened to Temple? I used to like the guy.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
He looked to have potential.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
Playing in Italy this year. Probably signed during the lockout?
Alamo - January 21, 2012
If I recall, he was doing decent with the Bucks pre-lockout.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
At this rate, I’d send Anderson and Joseph back to Austin. If we wanted another wing, bring up Butler and Ahearn. I wouldn’t mind Daniels, since he has seen it all.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
cryoscourge - January 21, 2012
wow, the knicks really do suck.
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012

hurts2bgood - January 21, 2012
People, please realize that this was the dreaded FIGASENI.
Dead tired legs=bad long distance shots.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
We have been shooting pretty bad from 3 though the past couple of games havent we?
mission20 - January 21, 2012
Yup, I’m just saying it’s tired on top of tired, on top of shorthanded, on top of giving rookies lots of PT because of the injuries.
And they STILL barely beat us.
That’s all.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
DEPTH!
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Yes this makes me feel better.
mission20 - January 21, 2012
Which is why it makes no sense that Pop didn’t use the entire bench.
CapHill - January 21, 2012
Are you into “Question Pop first, ask questions later!” now too?
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
but questioning Pop is like treason, and he’ll make sure you know it
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
=]
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
Well, I do have to say, he should be utilizing Anderson and Malcolm. If they work well in their first minutes, you play them more. Otherwise, the experiment ends quickly.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
In a game like tonight, just putting Anderson & Thomas out there for a minute to give others a breather would make sense. Wouldn’t it have been wiser to play splots more minutes last year? Just because I respect Pop as a helluva a coach, doesn’t mean I can’t ask questions.
CapHill - January 21, 2012
wasn’t splots banged up almost all of last year, as in just about never 100%
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
he wasn’t banged up so much as not in the best shape due to the injury before training camp, and that injury meaning not getting much practice time and thus not knowing the system. still…pop should’ve rolled the dice.
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
But by the end of the year, he was healthy.
CapHill - January 21, 2012
But he didn’t have the system down and pop didn’t trust him enough, until Blair just completely fell apart after being really out of shape.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Some bad timing with injuries, he’d start to get a bit of time and get a rhythm, get reinjured and be out of shape again
Alamo - January 21, 2012
A breather and also if they work, and spark something, they get more minutes. Otherwise, You pull them quickly. Can’t be that bad.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
You can ask all the questions you want.
Thing is, you didn’t ask a question, you said that what he did “makes no sense” and that might be the case from OUR point of view, but my guess is that from the inside, things appear far different.
That’s all.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
I can’t see a good reason though. There aren’t any practices to make a guy really stand out or gain or lose ground. I mean Kings game was a good example where a lot of players didn’t have it and Pop just experimented and went with what worked.
That said, he should have went to Tiago more the night before.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Anderson was playing over 20 mpg until Manu was hurt, started one game, and has barely played since. Seems like some non-basketball reason must have him in Pop’s doghouse. Hopefully changes soon.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
I bet we should forget &erson. Not gonna happen.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
If they don’t play him, all they could ever do with a trade is make him a throw in and get nothing for the 20th overall pick in the draft. He’s not looked that bad. If he winds up with some other team I expect it may haunt the Spurs for years.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
I think you are right, it’s not a good situation, but it seems to be the situation we are in.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
I think without practice and everything else, everyone just has to ride through it. Without Manu and TJ, the stability in the lineups is very odd. Even though Green has the trust of Pop, the dynamics might change a bit once TJ and Manu are back. Then Pop has some stability where he can manage the youngins a tad different.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
They he should be in Austin, if he ws struggling and there is another issue. No point in him just sitting. It’s not like there is a lot he can do during practice.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Yeah, it’s kind of weird they didn’t send him to Austin. May be they keep him and Malcolm for blow outs, which did not happen for last three games.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
Too true. There are teams that have won 3 in a row, but its still a doozie.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
This is a season where just getting to the playoffs is enough.
Then you roll the dice for a good first round matchup.
And you hope you’re healthy by then.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
Dallas barely beatin New Orleans
SanAntonioGiant - January 21, 2012
and the hornets had a chance to force overtime…
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
Theyre without Dirk, right?
SanAntonioGiant - January 21, 2012
ah good point, yep he wasn’t playing. though he’s been a bit off so far this season.
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
but without Dirk
hurts2bgood - January 21, 2012
LWM is not cheerful
TX2NC - January 21, 2012 via Android app
It could certainly be better
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
LWF is still the bigger issue. No backup point is killing us and TP
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
That also.
TX2NC - January 21, 2012 via Android app
So can one of you PtR players who attends the next home game ask Pop Y HE NO PLAY ANDERSON?
SinCitySpur - January 21, 2012
I dunno, theres that thing where he has SUCKED BIG TIME so far.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
So has Bonner but Pop still plays him.
SinCitySpur - January 21, 2012
Anderson has probably sucked worse than Bonner.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
Unpossible.
SinCitySpur - January 21, 2012
Depth at the bigs is lousy. The wings have more depth and Pop is in love with green now.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
He actually was decent in the preseason and his first couple games. Then Green came out of no where and Anderson’s shot wasn’t falling.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
but green right now is not playing well
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
He isn’t, and that is why the team is having issues. Same with leonard (although he did rebound well this game).
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Neal had his first good scoring game in a while, but his 3pt shot isn’t that hot. Neither is his D.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I was appalled when Drexler said Neal was shooting something like 29% on threes. Hard to get wins when our shooters are in playoff mode.
silverandblack_davis - January 21, 2012
And his defense hasn’t gotten any better. Hopefully, he and Green start playing better.
CapHill - January 21, 2012
Sadly, it’s worth than last year since he seems gassed after long runs. I was shocked how much time Pop gives him right after coming back.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Maybe because Pop has no choice and needs scoring?
silverandblack_davis - January 21, 2012
That’s what it seems like. That’s probably why he put Neal in for Bonner against the kings, which was actually a bad move.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I think earlier in that game Pop also called a timeout when Tiago was about to score. I thought it was a bad move. We used to have some nice plays after timeouts, but now we often have pretty bad plays when we need a good one.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
I think I remember that play. He wanted the time out earlier on, but no one noticed him, until the play developed and was a good shot.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Yeah, it looked like that timeout costed us two points that we could really use in that game.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
He’s just getting worked on D and has no legs to hit th elong range shots…
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I would give Anderson a chance to play the point (if they dont sign a backup), he ran the point well in preseason
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
Seems like he wasn’t just decent but called the surprise of the camp, unless they were saying they were surprised by how bad he was. Seemed like his shots in the first games were just barely missing and were about to start falling if he kept taking them.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
I don’t think anyone wants verbally and psychologically bitch slapped
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Gonna check out the Rubio show!!
SanAntonioGiant - January 21, 2012
Well, I just watched how the Bulls managed to get a decent PG in old man Mike James. We could’ve snapped him up.
silverandblack_davis - January 21, 2012
what will jazzy snapping do?
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Magic, I tell ya.
silverandblack_davis - January 21, 2012
I feel like swingin’ now
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
clyde frazier sounded a bit depressed at the end of the nuggets/knicks game…
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
Probably saw himself in the mirror and realized what he was wearing.
SinCitySpur - January 21, 2012
you’re just jealous you can’t pull off the same look…
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
Nobody can pull off this look. Mike Breen just walks away out of pure jealousy.

SinCitySpur - January 21, 2012
it’s like wearing a Rorshack test
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Clyde is the man. Whenever I feel like poo I just listen to a Knick game Clyde is doing and wait to see the crazy stuff he wears.
gunnin' gervin - January 21, 2012
He should be. His team sucks and is relying on Baron Davis to save them.
silverandblack_davis - January 21, 2012
Realizing that the knicks are doomed with Isiah Thomas back calling the shots behind the scenes.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
only just now he realizes this?
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
I think he finally hit his point and is sobering up.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I don’t think your theory on Isaiah running the team behind the scenes is true. He was reported to be blasting the Knicks for getting Tyson Chandler instead of a real point guard
gunnin' gervin - January 21, 2012
But he was big on doing the Melo deal, in all its forms. Dolan gave him a lot of money to “consult.” That said, I feel like he has a lot of influence since a lot of his deals mirror Isiah’s thinking. Whether Dolan was the one to overule him in the case of Chandler, I don’t know, though.
grego21 - January 22, 2012
In the 666 - January 21, 2012
hoping this becomes Danny Green’d
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
Never noticed Rambo was rocking a choker. Leave it to him to still look tough while wearing girly jewelery.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
they killed his girl! (she was tiny)…
In the 666 - January 21, 2012
Yea, but still. A man should never rock a choker. I am telling you, they need to spin this universal truth into the next most interesting man in the world commercial.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
ha!
but, I just couldn’t find a pic of Rocky yellin’, so I had to use Rambo… Better that Marion Cobretti…
In the 666 - January 21, 2012
Cobra was the man.
gunnin' gervin - January 21, 2012
the Merc!
In the 666 - January 21, 2012
LOL
gunnin' gervin - January 21, 2012
It hurts to lose such a close game, but lets face it. No Duncan and Manu= Throw away game. Still, they shot FIFTY SIX percent. Effin appalling.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
defense? what’s defense?
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
More that the usual share came with a hand in the face.
Just dumb luck.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
I only tuned in for the waning minutes, when Lowry and Dragic got straight to the cup like they were picking up a fuddruckers burger.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
But you missed out on most of the 4th where the D did tighten up. There were a lot of contested plays in that quarter that the Rockets made. They also had their share of bad defense, but Rockets did hit some tough shots. The Dragic last second (on shot clock) play was a good example of that.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
night for reals, time for Friends on NickatNite
KA1Z3R - January 21, 2012
friends?
wait, we had this conversation already didn’t we?
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
Give the kid a break, maybe those are the only “friends” he has.
SinCitySpur - January 21, 2012
Does anyone support Pop throwing the game away tonight? Or even see it that way?
the little o - January 21, 2012
I dont think he had a choice, the spurs best player is in a splint, and Duncan is 50 years old. So its ridiculous to infer he threw the game away.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
Why he didnt play Duncan in 4th last night if he was not going to play today?
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
exactly. most of us assumed it was to rest him for today’s game.
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
The starters had been losing the game, the bench got them back in and got them the lead. He stayed with the bench that was playing well together.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
My thoughts exactly.
RobertoDR - January 21, 2012
Pops ways are higher than yours and mine. Or something.
alamobro - January 21, 2012
Duncan had team-low -15 yesterday. He was pretty awful. So Pop decided to bench him for the 4th yesterday and full game today.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
Of course he had a choice, Tim Duncan was also not happy about not playing today. And despite being regarded as the best coach in the NBA, if Tim Duncan is said to not be in good spirits at missing tonight’s game, you’re not exactly free of scrutiny.
the little o - January 21, 2012
Pop is the best coach and Duncan is not MVP of the league anymore. Pop has more power now.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
Even then, sometimes Duncan or even Manu isn’t happy about not playing, but the coach is right sometimes. I’m sure in the long run, Duncan not playing is a good thing. Now, for other decisions by Pop, that’s where he’s probably more at fault.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
True. Pop would truly be throwing this game out the window if Splitter doesn’t get more minutes after this game. Splitter has already earned them, heck, he earned them after the Memphis series, but he’s still not getting the minutes he deserves.
the little o - January 21, 2012
There have been times where Pop went small ball with Kawhi/Green/Duncan, so i’m not going to fault Pop on those occasions. There have been times where Blair has played well and Pop didn’t give Tiago as much time. I don’t ncessairly agree though, when he could have played Duncan less. But I do see some areas where it made it tougher. There were also a few games where Tiago just picked up fouls really quickly.
grego21 - January 22, 2012
I feel like you’re trying to justify Pop’s line ups by tippy toeing through different scenarios where it would appear adequate to not play Splitter. The fact is that it has almost been a season and a half and Pop is still reluctant to give significant minutes to Splitter, who is our second best big.
the little o - January 22, 2012
The small ball without Blair was effective though. I wouldn’t take Blair over Splitter most of the time, but Pop does.
grego21 - January 22, 2012
Eh, I guess Duncan could have played. I dont know what to make of last nights game. Best to just forget it. It was lost cause from the start.
alamobro - January 22, 2012
Yeah, I’m glad I didn’t watch the game, I would’ve been pissed throughout out it. Best to just forget it is right. I’m confident I’ll find oblivion at the end of this bottle tonight.
the little o - January 22, 2012
Actually , it would have been unprecedented for Duncan to spell Tiago off the bench. Imagine if the Spurs would have won by starting Tiago and subbing Duncan. It could have opened up an interesting possibility.
alamobro - January 22, 2012
it was amazing we were in at at the end.. makes losing tougher to take.
In the 666 - January 21, 2012
I think we need to see how well it works in the next game to have given this game off. He’s not been playing well when he doesn’t have at least a day off.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
Is this what it’s come to? Saving up Tim Duncan for a very important game against the NOOCH on Monday?
the little o - January 21, 2012
4th game in 5 nights. Pop is thinking that game the Atlanta game. Houston is a semi-home game, so it made sense.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I think even playing Duncan just 12 minutes, 6 to start each half, would’ve helped. Considering we lost by 3, it would’ve helped a lot.
the little o - January 21, 2012
But when you think in the way of giving the guy a night off, you don’t think, “oh i can stick him in at this time.”
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Not if Duncan had another game like yesterday. He may be somewhat hurting.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
I think you’re right, Duncan has been looking a lot older this year, the compacted schedule is brutal.
the little o - January 21, 2012
We are 7th in the West
losing 3 of 4
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
It’s the FIGASENI – and the injuries.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
not looking good :-/
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
Nope, but it’s all about the end result.
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
The standings are so close, that it doesn’t really matter at the moment.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
our 3 point percentages the last few games:
31.8
20
11.8
40
26.3
of course, the 40% was against miami….
sleep research facility - January 21, 2012
Sure. Lose the 40% game, and win the 11.8!
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
thats how we roll
play_splitter - January 21, 2012
How long do y’all think D’antoni lasts in NY?..
In the 666 - January 21, 2012
As long as it takes to ink Isiah Thomas to a new contract to replace him!
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
In the 666 - January 21, 2012
He’s been running the team since Walsh was kicked out. He’s an “advisor” now. The moves seen by the team scream a lot of Isiah influence.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Meaning they are idiotic, right?
Kondor - January 21, 2012
Exactly.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Didn’t he have to give up that title because he is coaching NCAA ball? I remember the media talking about this because it is seen as a conflict of interest having a guy who has actual clear NBA ties and an official job title coaching in the NCAA
gunnin' gervin - January 21, 2012
Yes, he is in a pickle. The loophole is that he is a consultant. So he is not officially making decisions. Yet, in a lot of the stuff I read about Walsh, I saw that Isiah was a key pusher in the decisions. That and the Melo stuff. I feel like Dolan still gets the final say, but it sounds like he sides with Isiah a lot. Dolan does seem like one of those more sleezey type of owners though.
grego21 - January 22, 2012
am I wrong or was that either a) back court violation or b) travel ?
Joe deLarios - January 21, 2012
yeah
In the 666 - January 21, 2012
i am wrong…i just looked it up
Joe deLarios - January 21, 2012
Weird. I never knew that!
J.R. Wilco - January 21, 2012
C’mon, bossman, you are supposed to know these things. I think, it’s rather new change of the rules though (~3-5 years old).
Kondor - January 21, 2012
I REFUSE to know everything.
That’s why I have you guys, to let me know what I should already.
J.R. Wilco - January 22, 2012
