Did Anderson play?
SanAntonioGiant - January 20, 2012
Yeah he played bench warmer. did a great job warming those benches
gunnin' gervin - January 20, 2012
I want to see Anderson play. We need someone who is aggressive enough to make those pick-and-roll plays.
Confidant - January 20, 2012
Who’s Anderson?
Ayatollah - January 20, 2012
Pop didn’t go deep with the bench, but stayed with a unit that provided the most energy.
grego21 - January 20, 2012
booooo-urns.
sleep research facility - January 20, 2012
That’s a game where we miss Manu.
Big50 - January 20, 2012
I don’t think it’s a coincidence we lose when there is a Korean comic, and win when there is no Korean comic
doubleteapot - January 20, 2012
TAKE IT, HOME RECORD!!!
Iullaby - January 20, 2012
nice!
In the 666 - January 20, 2012
::cry::
Iullaby - January 20, 2012
How can something so beautiful end up like that?
Confidant - January 20, 2012
THIS WAS HORRIBLE
hurts2bgood - January 20, 2012
First game after I join, and the team loses… I think me joining wasn’t such a good idea.
bombsaway - January 20, 2012
Don’t worry bro, it was the Korean comics.
Hipuks - January 20, 2012
Damn those things.
bombsaway - January 20, 2012
Sigh, at least we should wait for the Chinese New Year to see if it would still curse us.
Confidant - January 20, 2012
yep.
Tim C. - January 20, 2012
Hey Tim. POLLOS has already offered you Manu.
Ayatollah - January 20, 2012
1st home loss after 1st road win.
Ayatollah - January 20, 2012
day_late_friend - January 20, 2012
have you ever watched any of Donald Glover’s stand up? Holy crap…
Iullaby - January 20, 2012
I’ve seen some of his clips in Youtube.
day_late_friend - January 20, 2012
Is he Danny Glover’s son?
gunnin' gervin - January 20, 2012
I think his twitter handle is DonGlover… which is just plain awesome
Jordan Leithart - January 20, 2012
Fuck this, I’m gonna go walk my dog. See ya later crocodiles.
Hipuks - January 20, 2012
Crocodile tears?
Confidant - January 20, 2012
we shot awful
gunnin' gervin - January 20, 2012
Yep. That was a big problem.

Ed (dfjmed) - January 20, 2012
What’s gunnin’ gervin’s average number of comments per game?
Ayatollah - January 20, 2012
Whatever it is, it’s because he attempts a lot of comments. He’s not very efficient though.
the little o - January 20, 2012
lol
gunnin' gervin - January 20, 2012
Toros game is currently on, available on futurecast. Near the end of the game, they’re up by 28 points. Can’t find a boxscore at this point. Noticed that Da’Sean Butler scored 21 points in last Wednesday’s game.
Alamo - January 20, 2012
Butler: 18 pts 7 rebs, 4 assists. The kid’s alright.
Tim C. - January 20, 2012
Best place for him. Too bad CJ couldn’t hang out in Austin.
grego21 - January 20, 2012
man that was ugly
Joe deLarios - January 20, 2012
I missed the game again, what the hell happened? I was expecting their guards to struggle against Leonard and Green’s defense… Didn’t seem to happen.
Also, I’m getting alarmed at Parker’s minutes. All the starters except him have ~20 minutes, Parker had 40.
anirontag - January 20, 2012
Leonard is going through a little bit of struggles. Expected…
Parker was their best consistent offense. Joseph can only play minutes in small bunches.
grego21 - January 20, 2012
Methinks the Spurs won’t be picking up James Anderson’s option. Which is a shame. I have no recollection of any game happening tonight.
Tim C. - January 20, 2012
At least our team will be rested for tomorrow.
the little o - January 20, 2012
Hmm…a trade for Anderson, maybe?
Ed (dfjmed) - January 20, 2012
They won’t get much for a guy they don’t play.
Alamo - January 21, 2012
Perhaps. I don’t know. Pop rode Green and RJ a lot with Neal as the other guy and a little bit of CJ. Leonard has seen not as much time this game either. Pop seemed to just stay with one group, which worked, for the most part.
I think it’s too soon to give up on JA, unless there is something behind the scenes.
grego21 - January 20, 2012
WTH! Was Anderson that surprise of camp because of how much he sucked?
the little o - January 20, 2012
I’m sure this schedule/lack of practice has more to do with it than anything.
grego21 - January 20, 2012
lol….
alamobro - January 21, 2012
Fearing tomorrow night. Trying to keep the faith.
TX2NC - January 20, 2012
That bit of information epitomizes everything that’s wrong with the personnel and philosophy of these Cavs. The road back to respectability for Cleveland is not going to go through Byron Scott.
WaveOcean - January 20, 2012
Scott is a tad overrated. he definitely was in NJ.
grego21 - January 20, 2012
Georgie stripped Ellis and got the and one with 1.8 seconds. 9/14 points in the 4th quarter. Very clutch, although he got away with the kick deflection. Good for him though. Indy is likely going to win this.
grego21 - January 20, 2012
while it possibly could’ve been a violation for the kick, it would’ve hit hill’s foot even if he hadn’t moved it. sloppy ball handling by monta.
sleep research facility - January 20, 2012
It’s tough seeing Indy fans calling him Oooeeey Poooeeeeyy
the little o - January 21, 2012
Yep.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Georgeous killed the Dubs… LOL
doubleteapot - January 20, 2012
Mo Williams has been told to hit the showers.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 20, 2012
Del Negro is an awful coach
doubleteapot - January 20, 2012
If Sterling weren’t the owner, Clippers wouldn’t have cheaped out on the coach. Maybe he can convince Larry Brown to come to LA.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Blake Griffin is an awful ft shooter.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
And defender and bad at boxing out. But still a great amount of potential there.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Minnesota really has no business being in this game. Del Negro couldn’t coach a Pee Wee team
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Yea he really is not very good. I will say, though, this is the most talented team he’s had. His two Chicago teams stunk compared to these Clips. He might guide them to …. FIFTY wins??
Or whatever the equivalent to 50 ins in a lockout is…
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
He had Rose, Noah and Deng
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
41 wins, both seasons.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
Rose grew a lot last year, though. Not trying to defend Vinny though.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Vinny really lost me when the Bulls blew that 35 point lead. You really have to be an awful coach to blow a 35 point lead.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Or even a 17 point lead. Yea, that was mean.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
Well Chicago wanted him out badly. They just did a bad job of doing it.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Random, but I found it funny seeing one or two of the Clipper cheerleaders reacting to the out of bounce call with Rubio. random…
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Rubio looks like a caveman.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
I like the look.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I wonder if he shaves every morning.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
Maybe just trims?
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Griffin cannot post up, only face up
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
If he could, my god, he’d be dangerous.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Billups Big 3
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
Mr. Big Shot.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Darko is beasting!
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Even though the Spurs game ended suckily, the GS-Indy game was good and this Clipps-Twolves game has been good.
Twolves have had their chances, but keep blowing them. Sorta like the Spurs…
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Man, Rubio reminds me of Manu in the way he moves.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
RUBIO
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Ricky Tebow!
the little o - January 21, 2012
Rubio for the tie!!! Wootness! Solid play. 9 points after going 0-10 in the game. Very Manuesque this 4th quarter.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Celebrated too much to be like Manu, a fist pump would’ve sufficed.
the little o - January 21, 2012
I said like. Not is. There is only one Manu.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I said like too! hehe, of course there is only one Manu.
the little o - January 21, 2012
I always loved the way Rubio played, since his days out of the NBA radar.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Great D by Rubio on Billups.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Ball to KLove?
grego21 - January 21, 2012
KEVIN LOVE
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Holy shit Love.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
I Love it!
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Oh I called it. Yes!!!! UCLA pride!!
grego21 - January 21, 2012
You’re from UCLA?
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Sadly, I graduated the summer before Love played. Got to cover the NCAA Final Four and saw Oden’s final game..
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I’m from UCLA too! But UCLA basketball sucks right now LOL. Our center is a fatass and we are playing two forwards who couldn’t defend a chair.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
All their good players keep leaving. :(
I knew Westbrook would be good when he got to the NBA. Presti = smart man. I also thought Afflalo would be decent and Collison. Too bad Josh Shipp was too streaky. Oh and there’s of course Luc. F-man, we had some talent. Too bad Love wasn’t one year earlier.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I have to say, I don’t like Howland’s system. I get the whole defense thing, but the games are so UGLY. We basically play bad teams even because we can’t score before pulling away in the second half.
Of course, this year we can’t even defend and suck in general.
As a side note, I find Bruins Nation really annoying.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Yeah, Howland’s system needs to adapt the offense to make themselves more dynamic.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I photographed for UCLA Daily Bruin BTW. :)
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Yeah I read a couple articles… then stopped. The writers aren’t that good. Yes I realize they are students.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Well, Daily Bruin was good. I never really read Bruin Nation.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
We won awards in my time.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Damn then the standards really have dropped, huh.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Sports section is good though. I’d prefer if there was a little more criticism of Howland, but whatever, they know who pays their bills.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
it goes in waves though. Same with the photographers… Yeah, I left… :)
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Haven’t updated in ages, but here are some of my UCLA photos on here…
http://www.sportsshooter.com/gregb
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Nice photos
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Thanks! Covering the NCAA tourney was the highlight of it. Although getting ot shoot the Lakers-Wiz game was pretty neat too.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Now all UCLA does is have first or second round exits. They might even not make it this year (again)
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
I do have to say, UCLA is winning though, just not in their main sport. Their volleyball, tennis, water polo. Pretty solid years for UCLA, despite the mess in other areas.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I know, but I really want basketball or football to do well. You can’t trash talk by saying that UCLA won women’s water polo or something.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
But UCLA was first to 100 national championships and still leading the way! That to me striks consistency more than anything else.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I know and that’s great and all, but it really isn’t the same without a championship in basketball or at least a good football program.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
UCLA Football has never really been solid. They had some moments where they were decent, but I don’t think that’s going to come back any time soon. I still think the basketball team has a better shot.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I feel so too. But I keep hearing how we get all these great football recruiting classes and then we get beat down 50-0 against USC.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
The problem is, good players tend to go to USC since they have the reputation. So they tend to get better overall talent, even if UCLA picks up one or two good players…
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Love is better than Griffin, this absolutely proves it.
the little o - January 21, 2012
Charles Barkley is a genius.
the little o - January 21, 2012
Yes that is obvious. The thing is….I think Love has already reached his ceiling (which is incredibly high, so no shame in that) while Griffin has a lot more potential. We will se who the best of the two is in 3 or 4 years, nevertheless both are great and unique
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Exactly. That’s the thing. Love has the advantage of the realized skill set. Blake, if done right could surpass that.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I think defense is what will define who is the better of the two down the road. Kevin Love will never be a great defender, he doesnt have the speed, mobility or jumping ability. Griffin has a chance to be a great one, even if his wingspan is not that great.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
And if Blake can develop a back to the basket type of game, he can make his teammates better by drawing the double teams.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
He already has a very nice passing ability. I think next season with a summer to workout he could take a big step as a player.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Yes, he has the chance. The thing is he’s already a star so there might be pressure just to focus is game on being a highlight film jumper, taking the Amare route..
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Griffin doesnt strike as an amare type. Not yet.
At least he knows how to pass.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
and rebound
the little o - January 21, 2012
forgot about that. Amare is awful
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Amare only knows one thing. Score…
grego21 - January 21, 2012
The Knicks are repeating the same mistakes Isaiah did. Getting a bunch of scorers and players withouth thinking about chemistry.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
from what I read, since the Walsh left (who Isiah helped push out), Isiah has been calling the shots from behind the scenes. he was a big part of the Melo deals from what I read, since he’s friends with dolan.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Walsh was a good GM in Indy (working with Bird), prior.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
yeah, that doesnt surprise me. Even if they get Nash next season, they are average at best, no better than the Atlanta Hawks
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Their D definitely will suck. Even though Nash was never good, he’s just getting worse over time.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Nash cant guard a PTR blogger at this point
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Exactly.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
and now, because of Melo, he’s not even doing that.
the little o - January 21, 2012
He’s definitely better than Amare even at this point. he can at least rebound, even though he doesn’t block out well.
he’s a franchise player. heck, I’d take Love over Amare each and every day.
Blake does seem to care. Question above all is does Sterling..? probably not.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Well only about the money he rakes in, less about the winning.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
A’m’a’r’e got two rebounds the other day. TWO REBOUNDS. At his height, you almost have to try to be that bad at grabbing the effing ball.
Hipuks - January 21, 2012
Dude dont be that harsh, he has to use ALL his energy taking all the shots he can on the other end.
He is the only good offensive player on that team.AMARE SUCKS
Chilai - January 21, 2012
NY is full of black holes. With Amare and Melo on the same team, I’m surprised the solar system doesn’t collapse. They are just as bad as dividing by zero.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I wasn’t being serious with that statement. Barkley was arguing with Kenny and Shaq about Love being better than Griffin right now on Thursday, and they settled on seeing the outcome of tonight’s game. That being said, I agree with everything you’ve said.
the little o - January 21, 2012
Yes, yes, yes !!!! He’s on my fantasy team!! So is Rubio. `
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I have to say, that was a really nice playcall
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Really nice. They had Williams curling off the triple screen (or whatever that was) and then had the other two players basically pin down DeAndre Jordan, which allowed Love to pop out to the three point line and nail that three. DeAndre had to stay back to protect against the lob, one of the defenders had to switch out onto Love.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
that was Popesque
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Rick is a good coach.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
and delnegro isnt.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
To be fair, I think coaches just like players have strengths and weakneses. For example, Mike Brown has always been an excellent defensive coach, but he sucks on the other side.
IN the case of DelNegro, I like the way he develops his players and how he sets clear roles for each of them. Sadly, his in-game coaching is as awful as it gets.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
He’s a players coach. He’s similar to Mike Brown in that sense. Both are solid assistants, but not head coaches.
With Brown, if you let someone take over the offense, you might be able to get away with it.
It’s like PJ. Solid with the Spurs, but couldn’t handle a team by himself.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I remember when the cavs (with a very limited personel beyond Lebron) got an offensive assitant coach to take reins of the offense and suddenly the cavs became a juggernaut. I wonder why most Front Offices fail to see the obvious limitations of their coaches.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
They need to take on more of the NFL coaching mindset. An offensive coordinator for example, would go a long way. Or a defensive one…for a lot of teams.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
This is already happening in LA. Durring time outs Chuck Person draws up the defensive sets and another coach (not sure who) draws up the offensive plays more often than not. Pathetic.
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
Yup. If Clippers were owned by anyone but Sterling, there’d be a real coach there.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
What a great ending to a nail biter. No way the Clippers should’ve lost that game..
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
One good shot deserves another. They beat Dallas on a late shot. now Twolves do the same to them!
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Vinny. Del. Negro.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
I’d give more credit to Twolves drawing up a great play though, more than Vinny.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Celtics have lost 6 of 7. They’re in trouble. One of their big 3 may be traded.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
Ainge is willing to gut the team if he can get back talent. I don’t get how that will ever happen, but sure…
grego21 - January 21, 2012
The problem is, the teams willing to get one of those hefty contracts are not going to offer much.
Man, how I love the PATFO. We still have a very competitive and young team surrounding our big three.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Blair for Garnett
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
Unfortunately, it would have to be like a Blair/Leonard type of talent set to get KG.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I would give Leonard to get KG
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
Maybe, but I don’t think the ROI is worth it at this point…
grego21 - January 21, 2012
KG has been awfull this season. I dont know if I want him.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Compared to himself but I still think he’d be the second best big on the Spurs.
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
You make Tiago cry
Chilai - January 21, 2012
If he cries, he cries.
the little o - January 21, 2012
Depending on the game, Tiago is the best Spurs big…
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I was thinking the same thing but I was afraid of being banned
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
TD is my favorite player and why I became a Spurs fan, but time/age get in the way of all.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
I know. Sorry Tiago. But Garnett finishes better, shoots better, has better weakside help. Tiago is probably only better at one-on-one defense at this point in his young career
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
Garnett is the only one that I want
spursfan87 - January 21, 2012
TJ ford for Rondo
the little o - January 21, 2012
JA for Allen
Ayatollah - January 21, 2012
It would be amazing if Blair learned from Kevin Love on how to box out… I can dream..
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Love should make an instructional video on how to rebound when he retires. He is 6’8, with an average wingspan and a not so incredible athleticism and he dominates the boards like Howard.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Pop should force him to watch that ESPN Sports Science segment with Love and the sumo wrestler where they show how he does it.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
It’s all about angles, positioning and knowing how to transfer force. It’s also about tape studying and understanding where the rebound is likely to fall.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Barkley and Moses Malone did the same. So many of the great rebounders get their rebounds way below the rim
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
Blair has the bulk to do it. If only he didn’t think he could out jump/out reach the opposing players.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
He thinks that?
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
His actions show that even if he doesn’t say it.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
You forgot about Dennis Rodman. THe dude had the same height as Manu and averaged several seasons of +15 rebounds. What a beast. One of my favorite players ever.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
He had hops, but he did use his body well. Great timing to make use of his abilities.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
He was an athletic freak. He would get on a bike and ride for hours after games. His conditioning was just something else. I don’t think he fits that mold that I was thinking about, undersized and strictly positioning rebounding. He did get a ton from boxing out and position but I remember him flying from one side of the key to the other to snatch rebounds. Very much superior to the way Love, Wes, Barkley did it as far as strictly rebounding skill goes.
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
I agree with his conditioning, but he still was a monster rebounder even at an advanced age. He combined positioning, boxing out and outstanding atlheticism. He was VERY undersized.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
Yeah I agree. He combined all those things. Love won’t ever have that conditioning. I can’t imagine it.
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
Hipuks - January 21, 2012
It would be amazing if Blair learned from The JV on how to box out… I can dream..
the little o - January 21, 2012
Sharapova still dating Sasha?
the little o - January 21, 2012
They engaged, no?
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Kevin Love – does he stay with the Twolves? They’ll likely offer him a good contact.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Apparently Devin Harris is on the block, too.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
I’m sure they won’t get much for him. Trash
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
He’s worth trading a late 2nd round draft pick for, at this point. he’s been horrible. one of the top 10 disappointments of the season.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Devin Harris seems to get worse and worse each passing season. I dont know what is happening with him.
Chilai - January 21, 2012
You know a lot of guys seem to do that when they leave Dallas. Either their FO is great with timing or Dirk makes guys better.
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
He peaked so early. It was pretty much downhill, once he left the Mavs. i think he benefited from being on good teams. Slowly, his talent around him got more inexperienced, his weaknesses become more exposed.
That said, he’s also lost some of his speed.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
And Brook Lopez is not going to be given and extension with NJ.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 21, 2012
Well yeah, he sucks. He can’t rebound and doesn’t like contact.
doubleteapot - January 21, 2012
Good. That guy is allergic to help defense.
Manuwar - January 21, 2012
Even though the Spurs lost, this video makes the day easier…
So adorable..

So guys, what the hell happened? I watched the end of this game to see the Spurs blow a six point lead with 3 minutes left. Kings didn’t run any offense at all on their last shots. All they did was dribble dribble dribble shoot, swish. Sigh
mission20 - January 21, 2012
I didn’t see much starters in the last few plays either.
anirontag - January 21, 2012
Yeah I heard Bill or Sean saying that Pop was riding the group that got them the lead.
mission20 - January 21, 2012
That’s exactly it. The starters (outside of Parker) looked like crap.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Spurs missed a bunch of open shots. Kings made some shots. It was a really weird game. Spurs D held pretty well for the game. The offense was dreadful though. If a few more shots fall, Spurs win this.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
Is it just me or has the offense looked like shit lately?? I think the Spurs are just tired. Past couple of games the Spurs havent shot well, or am I wrong?
mission20 - January 21, 2012
I think that has something to do with it. This season is going to have those weird ups and downs.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
There were several positive things in this sad game:
1) After playing entertaining basketball last season, the Spurs are back to their ugly playing ways
2) Tiago Splitter looked very good again. Tiago (14), RJ(12) and Bonner (+11) were 3 Spurs with positive +/-.
3) When Matt Bonner left the game the Spurs were up 6 (their biggest lead at 84-78). Unfortunately, it left just enough time for the Kings to take the game back.
Kondor - January 21, 2012
They are back to ugly, but the defense has improved. The problem is if the offense gets this bad, even good defense won’t stop every shot. Hopefully they’ll mix more of the offense in. It’s tough with Parker as the only real play maker though.
When Neal came in, Spurs lost momentum, funny as it is. Bonner was actually doing pretty well. he had a stupid foul which was the one that took him out, but he helped rebound in there. Once they got smaller, with Neal, it became too small ball, much like last year.
grego21 - January 21, 2012
You’re absolutely right. While the offense is definitely expected to take a significant hit with our best player (The Manu) out, the reason why it’s been so unexpectedly putrid at times is because Ford is also out. Ford’s orchestration of the offense, even when Manu and Parker have both been on the bench was a pleasant surprise and perhaps even today overlooked. He simply kept the offense humming in a situation where a RoMaJu, Ooey Pooey, heck, even The JV would have us cringing. And while he will never be regarded as a defensive player, he has shown this season that he’s not afraid to get active and pesky on that end. This resulted in him often being a net positive for the team to say the least, and to be a guy to spell out TP for a few minutes to say the worst. Obviously if Manu were healthy we wouldn’t do to bad, but the fact that 2 of our 3 play makers are gone is really hurting our O.
In other news, Cory Joseph didn’t have too good a game tonight with a net plus/minus of -11 in around 6 minutes.
Sorry for the rant.
the little o - January 21, 2012
WTF happen!!
cuentaluis1 - January 21, 2012
Spurs suck on a FIGATWONI
the little o - January 21, 2012
FIGATUNI?
the little o - January 21, 2012
If you forget about gary neal last 3pt shot vs orlando …. he is shooting terrible
cuentaluis1 - January 21, 2012
He is. I didn’t think he should come in for Bonner during the last stretch. I thought Bonner functioned fairly well.
Neal doesn’t have his legs. This is why Joseph gets some burn, but the team has issues without Parker. But then Spurs are running him into the ground if they can’t spell him from time to time.
They should feed the post with Splitter as much as possible to reduce some of Parker’s running around.
It does seem like they are focusing on Green to be the next pick and roll guy though..
