5 Posts a minute, how was he watching the game?
NYHorn - January 17, 2012
Impressive

no one else has a chance if GG is in the thread.
sleep research facility - January 17, 2012
I decided to go to GSoM. But they won’t allow swearing either. What is the internet coming to?
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
SOPA is gonna end the internet.
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
i wish people like us could run for office and win.
People who love the constitution more than money.
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
I love fish more than the constitution, my administration would have very weird results.
Hipuks - January 17, 2012
like, eating fish? or pet fish?
FrankWyt - January 17, 2012
Yes.
Hipuks - January 17, 2012
good
maybe under your watch the ocean won’t see so many oil spills
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
So…both?
FrankWyt - January 17, 2012
Yes sir. I both admire fish for their awesomeness and their taste.
Hipuks - January 17, 2012
Do you like to grow attached to your fish before eating them?
NYHorn - January 17, 2012
No. The other day I went to this Chinese supermarket and they had live Tilapia in these big fish tanks and a bunch of them were dead or dying and just floating around. I felt really bad.
So I bought an already dead Tilapia and had them fry it and it tasted pretty good so I felt better.
Hipuks - January 17, 2012
Sweet, thanks
FrankWyt - January 17, 2012
You’d name your fish a senator, Caligula-style.
Edg5 - January 17, 2012
The fuck is this shit, man.
Hipuks - January 17, 2012
i dunno
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
Gun Nin’ Ger Vin is actually a name of a small Chinese town

Kondor - January 17, 2012
everyone score atleast one point except RJ
hurts2bgood - January 17, 2012
I’m not good at math, so correct me if I’m wrong, but that was like a 84 point turnaround for the Heat.
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
This was the ugliest turnaround since Mickey Rourke’s face from the 80’s to the 90’s.
Hipuks - January 17, 2012
Feels like the Heat stole the Spurs lunch money and gave them a wedgie.
Kevin21 - January 17, 2012
Guys, I’m gonna cry myself to sleep. See you guys tomorrow. Sniff.
LatinD - January 17, 2012
Don’t forget to find some good comics for another epic 3QC tomorrow. Good night.

Yes.

Sheesh. This makes me feel a little better that I wasn’t able to watch the game.
FrankWyt - January 17, 2012
how do you go from 17 points up to losing by 22? how is that possible? i’d rather we had just lost by 22 from the first quarter, but this sort of massive inconsistency is beyond frustrating.
sleep research facility - January 17, 2012
Bad coaching.
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
That and LeBron. And Mike Miller remembering he can hit those 3s.
Edg5 - January 17, 2012
Come out playing like crap in the 2nd half. Don’t execute + Miami gets hot = blow the game open.
grego21 - January 18, 2012
Is this defense really worse than last year’s?

Chilai - January 17, 2012
Good point.

If I ever see a man with a mustache similar to Astroman he is getting his ass kicked no matter what
Chilai - January 17, 2012
quite an avatar you got there
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
Every heterosexual man has said that to me at some point. Just dont tell the bosses around here, they dont like any sexy pic in PTR
Chilai - January 17, 2012
well then
I guess now there’s no way anyone can mistake me for a heterosexual male.
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
I’m glad I have a new career high in comments, but I wish it was during a Spurs victory.
Marky G - January 17, 2012
Thank FSM for Danny Green’s two buzzer beaters or else the Spurs would have lost by 28. ::sobs::
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
Thank goodness I’ve got early onset dementia – maybe I won’t remember this game.
CapHill - January 17, 2012

Edg5 - January 17, 2012
i’m glad you’re able to joke about it
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
This is what I should be thinking: “Let’s not overreact. It was a game on the road against probably the best team in the league. We would’ve won if they didn’t have the best player on Earth on their side.”
Edg5 - January 17, 2012
I could have accept that if the Spurs didnt give me false hope in the first half
hurts2bgood - January 17, 2012

You were up 63-49!
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012

Josh Guyer (completely deck) - January 17, 2012
Miami remembered we don’t play defense.
Kevin21 - January 17, 2012
Two words for you: LeBron James
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
we can point to a lot of factors, but in reality for the last seven years we only know one way to stop big runs from other teams on the road: unleashing Manu. Its sad but true.
Chilai - January 17, 2012
Yep, seems true.
Marky G - January 17, 2012

Pounding a bad basketball team when they are on the road . . . ouh, nbatv announcers hurt.
TX2NC - January 17, 2012
Just curious, have we come back from more than 10 or 15 down and won a game in the last 2 seasons(regular season or playoffs)?
Heman - January 17, 2012
I remember one of the first games last season against New Orleans. Pop resorted to Smallball with Jefferson guarding David West and misteriously it worked and we beat the hell out of them.
Chilai - January 17, 2012
true story – i was actually putting together a post about that, looking at last season, based on the theory that once we get down by more than 8 in the third quarter or later, we almost never make the comeback. i was compiling stats on it and everything….and the result looked to support my theory.
sleep research facility - January 17, 2012
Spot on, that’s where I was going. I’m almost at the point where I think our guys create a mental block that they can’t come back to win after a big deficit
Heman - January 17, 2012
and Pop always throws the white flag very early
spursfan87 - January 17, 2012
it must be something like that. it may have not been last season (we won too many games, i had a different theory i was working on for last season), it was the season before, but i remember what triggered it – we got behind 8 points in the third against a team (think it may have been houston?), and i remember thinking “that’s it, they won’t come back from that, i’ve seen this before”. i started looking into it, and paying attention for the rest of the season, and it happened way too frequently for us. you almost never saw a comeback from the spurs, even if it was only 8 points down, after half time.
sleep research facility - January 17, 2012
Yup.
Heman - January 17, 2012
Against Minnesota?
day_late_friend - January 17, 2012
twice last season?
Ayatollah - January 17, 2012
I think it’s times like these that it’s helpful to remember Lebron disappearing in every fourth quarter of the finals. Ok, so maybe that won’t help, but it’s still something to think about.
FrankWyt - January 17, 2012
Danny Green led the team in points with 20 and +/- with -21. How is that even possible? Mind = blown.
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
I’m starting to think the +/- stat is a troll.
Hipuks - January 17, 2012
what’s even more mindblowing is that Mike Miller made every single one of his 3s. And Chris Bosh got 30 points. If this were 2007 there’s no way that would ever happen.
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
If this were 2007 the Spurs would be sweeping the Cavs in the Finals but I digress.
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
sweet
Cavs are Eastern Conference Champs again
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
I’d rather lose to San Antonio than to the cHeat or the Takers or the New York Hicks.
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
He had some bad turnovers in his game, even though he scored well (when shooting)
grego21 - January 18, 2012
What happens to the game threads after the game is over?
FrankWyt - January 17, 2012
they get archived in the Game Threads
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
They go to game thread heaven, if they were good enough. In this case they’re buried in an unmarked place and left to rot.
Hipuks - January 17, 2012
They go to a big farm upstate, where they can run free.
Edg5 - January 17, 2012
Well, the mods print them out and go over them via conference call. If they find anything they deem to be insulting, degrading, etc, they call the Feds, send Chris Hansen to your house and ban your IP address.
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
I’m going to have to go with this one.

I have one.
Who is Cory Joesph and why did he play 23 minutes?
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
Maybe he wants to rest TP for Orlando.
Confidant - January 17, 2012
Young 3rd-string PG and Parker cannot play 48 minutes.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
Just one of the many reasons I love Pop
FrankWyt - January 17, 2012
Come on Pop! They made too many perimeter shots.
Confidant - January 17, 2012
Winning on the Road: Good or Bad in your opinion?
NYHorn - January 17, 2012
We’re still trying to decide
Josh Guyer (completely deck) - January 17, 2012
Totally overrated. If you want to win, you win at home, in front of your fans.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
if you want to win in the playoffs, winning on the road is a must
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
Playoffs are overrated. We finally came to that understanding in last three seasons.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
tell me about it
i don’t want the Cavs to make the playoffs
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
early exit == long summer vacations. I wish I could have that much vacation time.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
Not if you have home court advantage. You can make every series go 7 games and still win the Championship! YAY!
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
I wonder if we’ll ever see that happen
WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
Nice, one serious answer out of four isn’t bad. Kind of hard to decide which of the other answers was the the funniest though.

We were up till I had to go do Other Things. My bad, y’all, won’t happen again.
Trey Felder - January 17, 2012
Look at the shot charts of the 3rd and 4th quarter. I don’t know what happened, but the heat made too many outside shots.

A pretty mediocre sitcom starring Zooey Deschannel’s eyes.

How the hell did we get outscored about 40 to 19 approx.
Heman - January 17, 2012
I just pretend that the 1st half never happened and just put this one together with all our other road losses… Makes me feel much better… Losing by 22 sounds better than up 17 then losing by 22.

WaveOcean - January 17, 2012
Hey guys, I checked the game on my phone at work during halftime. We were up 63-49, what the hell happened? Was our defense really that bad that they made that many 3s? That Mike Miller killed us? Someone explain this to me..
mission20 - January 17, 2012
defence fell apart. offence got stagnant. and no one on the spurs seemed to care.
sleep research facility - January 17, 2012
So Lebron hadnt made a 3 all season and he decided to make 4 against us huh? Man that game sounds horrrible.
mission20 - January 17, 2012
It was horrible. But they can turn it around tomorrow against Orlando.
Edg5 - January 17, 2012
Did Pops rotations make sense? Did he leave the bench out there when they made a run?
mission20 - January 17, 2012
Pop did an OK job. Bonner on Bosh when they were on a run was a really bad call and he could have called for a time-out sooner but it’s not on him. Everyone played like crap. It was just one of those
gamessecond halves.Edg5 - January 17, 2012
I see. I am glad I did not get to see this game. I would have been pissed throught out the whole second half.
mission20 - January 17, 2012
Duncan and Parker were both on the court and got embarrassed in the 3rd. I wish Pop played bench more.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
I have noticed this anomaly, many players have bad season or are in shooting slump till they play the Spurs and then they go ballistic on us. It is as if they are licking their chops when Spurs come into town
Heman - January 17, 2012
Its getting ridiculous man, even Mike Miller went off on us when he had been injured in their last game.
mission20 - January 17, 2012
we couldn’t buy a basket in the 3rd and they made like 7 or 10 3-pointers in a row without single miss. before you could say FU, this thing was over.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
i was thinking of going to the gym this afternoon and shooting some hoops. when i do so, i always wear a spurs jersey. now…i’m not really feeling it.
sleep research facility - January 17, 2012
Or you could wear it and not play any defense.
SinCitySpur - January 17, 2012
don’t worry, got that covered already!
sleep research facility - January 17, 2012
Try not to make any shots as well.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
I can totally see the Lakers coming to Miami on Thursday and beating this team like a drum, and LeBron and Miller missing all these 3-pointers they made tonight.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
I think that is exactly what happened last year too,if my memory serves right
Heman - January 17, 2012
My memory refuses to remember what happened last year in Miami.

It will take me some time though to forget what have happened in Miami this season.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
Seriously, if someone is in a shooting slump, or coming back from injury we should automatically assume that they will kill the Spurs. Its happened all season. I would not be surprised if Dwight Howards hits 100% from the free throw line tomorrow night.
mission20 - January 17, 2012
Does anybody expect better game tomorrow? I don’t. Orlando has been one of the toughest match ups for us lately, we were losing to them even when we were beating pretty much everyone else.
Kondor - January 17, 2012
I have no expectations, I just want that the spurs try to avoid another 20-20 or Dwight Howard
cuentaluis1 - January 17, 2012
I think we can beat them if we don’t double Dwight. At least not every single time. Let him beat us. I don’t want 30 point games from Reddick and Ryan Anderson. I can live with Howard getting 20-20 if we get the W.
Edg5 - January 17, 2012
On a single coverage, it will be more like 35 – 15…
Heman - January 17, 2012
It’s ok if the Spurs get the W. Just ask the Hawks
Edg5 - January 17, 2012
i expected a loss for this game, but then we played well in the first half. and then collapsed. so…i have no idea what to expect tomorrow.
sleep research facility - January 17, 2012
I have made peace with the fact that expectations leads to failures…So, I’m simply going to enjoy what the Spurs offer.
Heman - January 17, 2012
W T F HAPPENED ???? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU . . . !
alamobro - January 17, 2012
Its OK, Tomorrow, we are gonna use our secret weapon … Its called the “Hack a Howard”
cuentaluis1 - January 17, 2012
so he could finally get to shoot 40 FTs?
Kondor - January 17, 2012
with his 0.444 FT % = 17 pts
cuentaluis1 - January 17, 2012
Yea, but they will be playing against the Spurs, so its more like .444*2
alamobro - January 17, 2012
Who is going to be our defensive enforcer…this team badly needs one
Heman - January 17, 2012
Jazz beating Clips by 30+ in SLC. Of course who gives a F but I think that might make the Jazz 3rd in the west after tonight.
This season is freaky!
lazNirv - January 17, 2012
Oops! I was wrong. Utah is now #2 in the west. WTF!!!
lazNirv - January 17, 2012
What a crapfest. I watched most of the first half, then we caught the wrath of Bron. Onto the next one.
Ed (dfjmed) - January 17, 2012
I didnt know you were a poet. =P
alamobro - January 17, 2012
Didn’t notice…was that a hiku? Haha. I hate pissing away a huge lead like this. Looks like we just quit, eh?
Ed (dfjmed) - January 17, 2012

cuentaluis1 - January 17, 2012
